Why I Write
For me, writing is more than just storytelling or sharing information—it’s a calling. I believe that God has given me a voice, not just to entertain or inform, but to minister through the written word. My conviction to write is deeply rooted in my faith and my desire to reach others who may be walking through questions, doubt, struggle, or even transformation, just as I have. Each book I write is an act of obedience and devotion, a way of expressing the truths I’ve learned through Scripture, prayer, and life’s many experiences.

Christian fiction, in particular, allows me to explore spiritual truths through relatable characters and emotionally rich narratives. I see it as a powerful way to reach people’s hearts—not by preaching at them, but by telling stories that mirror the struggles and triumphs of real life, grounded in God’s grace and redemption. These fictional journeys can often speak to someone in a way that a sermon or theological book might not. They create space for reflection, empathy, and connection, pointing gently but clearly toward hope, faith, and the love of Christ.
 
At the same time, non-fiction gives me a more direct avenue to share my personal journey, the lessons God has taught me, and the biblical principles that have shaped my walk with Him. Books like First Steps, which reflect over sixteen years of spiritual growth, are part memoir, part discipleship tool—written with the hope that someone else might find encouragement, guidance, or affirmation in their own faith journey. I write non-fiction to teach, inspire, and invite others into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Ultimately, my writing—whether fiction or non-fiction—is about ministry. I’m not chasing bestseller lists or applause. I simply want to be faithful to what God has placed on my heart, using my gifts to build His kingdom, one reader at a time
